Ahhh, Lovely Lavendar

How do you unwind? I live in a busy city full of cement, tall buildings, cars, and a whole lot of noise pollution. So to relax and release tension I go where I can appreciate nature and its lovely sights and sounds. Sometimes that place is out of town in 'the sticks' and sometimes that place is a hidden garden within the city (if you ask nicely I might disclose a few of these hidden gems). There's something about being in the presence of natural beauty that puts my soul right at ease.

These days my visits with Mother Nature have been scarce so I found a creative way of bringing the soothing elements of nature home to me....lavendar sachets! Mom gifted me with a bundle of lavendar from Farmers Market and put it in a pretty glass vase. For days we enjoyed its purple beauty, and the summer heat warmed up those buds and filled our home with a the soothing aroma of lavendar. Once the lavendar dried I filled a sachet with the little purple perfume pots. Now I have a little pocket-sized piece of nature on hand anytime I need my nature fix!

Lavendar sachets can go anywhere-under your pillow, in a garment drawer, the car, or toss it in your purse. One little whiff and I'm instantly at ease without a care in the world. I can close my eyes, take a few deep breathes, and all is good!

This is a cheap and easy way to relax. Now I'd live to hear how you unwind.
